Well…. here I have gone and made another Simplicity 2444. This time in a Japanese wool that I found in the sample section of my local fabric store. I don’t usually go for a neutral palette because they tend to make me look washed out. My hope was that paired with this ivory jacket, it would look okay.
I won’t go into the details of this pattern because we all know that I have made it many times before. A real TNT pattern for me. I lined the bodice and shortened the length of the skirt…I didn’t have enough fabric so the hem is itsy bitsy!

Happy First Day of Fall everyone!
This is so lovely and relaxing!
Found your blogs some weeks ago and I really like your style, looks effortless but still put together. And it suits you extremely well. Just wanted to tell you 🙂
Thanks Dorothy!
Thanks Michou! I appreciate your lovely comment!!
Oh how lovely!!! It certainly is a "Fall Classic"! Love the neutral colors. As always, you look amazing. Well done!

You'll never make a 2444 that I won't like! It looks great with the white jacket and you could layer with brighter colors as well. Perfect!
It looks great on you, not washed out at all. 🙂
That's the perfect transition outfit with that cute little jacket.
This is gorgeous! You are so stylish and classy and you don't look washed out at all!
Gorgeous! I can not get enough of your simplicity 2444, you have made some and I love them all 🙂 You look great in this dress and neutral color suit you perfectly 🙂
You look so pretty! The dress is elegant on you.
Awww thanks Almeda! Fall has certainly arrived here, hasn't it!?
Thanks Heather! I made a Meitte sweater in a cranberry red that I am hoping looks good with this dress.
Maybe it's not so bad because I have a bit of color after the summer 😉 Thanks Marrie!
Thanks Faye! Though I love this little jacket, I hadn't worn it much. I'm glad it works with this dress.
You can never go wrong with a good TNT! Thanks Heather!!
I'm surprised that I like the neutral too! I guess it's good to try something a little different than my usual prints and brights. Thanks Hana!!
You my dear do elegant so well that I am thrilled to hear that you think I look so! Thank you Yoshimi!!
I think it's lovely.
The whole ensemble is fabulous. I'm new to your blog, so I'll have to search your older posts to hunt down the pattern for your dress.
What a beautiful outfit! It looks just lovely and so elegant on you.
You look wonderful. Both pieces work so well together and on you!
